The goal of collage is to bring together seemingly disparate items and images into a theme that conveys some feeling or idea. The arrangement doesn`t have to communicate something obvious - a strong collage will evoke feeling and compel the observer to study it even when the artist`s meaning isn`t apparent (or maybe especially when the meaning isn`t apparent!)
But, where does the beginning collage artist start? Most often with images, and today`s tip also suggests a variety of items worth collecting for possible inclusion in a collage.
