November 16, 2007, Newsletter Issue #171: What to send to a magazine?

Tip of the Week

Firstly, check their submission instructions in the magazine. If you canīt find enough details then contact the publishers before sending anything. Be aware that most magazines will take the rights to your project, but most will give you the right to teach the project yourself. Check the details of any contract before you sign it.

The magazines, that I submit to, require the original artworks along with instructions on paper and saved to disk. They also require some pieces of the project "halfmade" for them to use when photographing instructions.
