Stencils

A stencil is usually a sheet of plastic which has had a pattern cut out of it. You can sponge color over the stencil to "transfer" the pattern to paper. Some methods of using stencils are: sponging; stippling; dry embossing; and tracing the stencilled shapes to cut them out.
