June 1, 2007, Newsletter Issue #148: Dry Embossing - what is it?

Tip of the Week

Dry embossing is a technique for impressing a raised image on a paper surface. Tools include a template or stencil, a stylus and a light source. Place the template under the paper, and then use the stylus to "press" the paper through the pattern on the stncil. When complete, turn your paper over and you now have a raised image on your paper. You can let your image stand alone, or add color, such as chalk or watercolor.
