April 7, 2006, Newsletter Issue #91: Art Dolls

Tip of the Week

Art dolls are an exciting new medium, thanks to Somerset Studios and the StamperŽs Sampler! And, there are several ways to approach the idea. You can purchase a plain stuffed doll, ready for crafting, at your local craft store. Or, you can transfer a stamp image onto muslin, or build your doll from your own imagination. Once you have your basic form in place, you are ready to paint, stamp and embellish to your hearts content! My daughter and I are creating art dolls together, and IŽll post an article describing our process as soon as weŽre done!
